October 16th Is Ajarn Chai’s Birthday
October 16th is Ajarn Chai’s birthday. It is also Teacher’s Day for the TBA. Traditionally students pay respects by making a special gift to their instructor, including flowers, 1 candle, and 3 sticks of incense in a bowl. This year Ajarn Chai will not be in the USA on his birthday. He was never able to spend his birthday in Thailand with his mother and father. After his father passed away eleven years ago, his family would have a ceremony for him every year. Most years Ajarn Chai was unable to attend. Ajarn’s mom passed away last fall, so this year he will be having a ceremony for his mother and father on his birthday in Thailand.
Please do not send gifts to his address in the US. Instead gifts may be sent to:
50/503-506 Muangtongtani,
Changwattana, Rd
Pakkret
Nonthaburi, 11120
Thailand
Please do not send any food items such as rice or fruit. Students are encouraged to send items as a group to help reduce the cost.
Thank you all for helping to make Muay Thai strong in the US and around the world.
