G.R.A.C.E. Animal Rescue is a non-profit organization helping to provide a solution to domestic animal over population. We focus on dogs and cats because of their excessive numbers however other animals living within urban areas are also rescued and treated as well.
Our primary method is fostering and adoption but we also incorporate trap-neuter and release of feral cats that cannot be tamed. Animals come to us from both individuals and groups and are housed, fed and nursed back to health through a network of foster families and medical professionals.
We hold adoption fairs at local pet stores as well as community festivals every weekend. Families may also adopt directly from us during the week if they can’t make it to an adoption fair. All of our adopted animals receive medical examinations, are spayed or neutered and given their vaccinations to insure a healthy start in their new home. Potential families are screened to help insure a stable home.
Our trap-neuter and release program for feral cats helps to control the over population crisis from cats who are not spayed and neutered being dumped by people who no longer want or are able to keep them. Feral cats are re-released into preexisting colonies with feeding stations and maintained by our team of volunteers. Although we would prefer to adopt out all of the cats we rescue, some are just too wild to tame and this method is far more humane than euthanasia. It is the most sensible way to control over population. Every effort is made to determine if a cat can be adopted first and no domesticated animal is ever released into a colony.
G.R.A.C.E Animal Rescue is privately funded through donations and grants. We welcome any help we can get as food, medical care and shelter is very costly. Our volunteers work very hard to save these animals but financial aid is also desperately needed. Please contact us if you can help in any way.
